On March 8th and 9th the Bundesjugendballett will dance a newly revised version of the piece “BJB Songbook – What We Call Growing Up”, which premiered in 2017. A colorful dance collage inspired by the poetry of well-known singer-songwriters from the end of the 20th century and artfully combining their songs and messages. The choreographies come from various guest choreographers such as Ricardo Urbina, Marc Jubete, Sasha Riva and the ballet master Raymond Hilbert. Sensitively staged by Kevin Haigen, a multi-layered picture emerges on stage - different choreographic styles mix with songs from different genres, equally involving dancers and musicians.
